Halloween Costume Parade and Family Pumpkin Carving Event

We will be having a modified Halloween Costume Parade and Family Pumpkin Carving Event this year!

Costume Parade:

With our current restrictions on having large gatherings, we are looking at 2 options for this year.

  1. The first is weather permitting. We will ask parents and community to gather around the track on the football field and we would do an outdoor parade with the students walking a lap around the track, then back inside for their class parties.
  2. The alternative, similar to what we did last year, is we will have our cohorts ( 1-3, 4-6) groups do a student only costume parade in the auditorium gym followed by a short halloween dance party. Parents will not be invited to this option, sorry.

We will go with option 2 if the weather is too cold or wet. We will make a decision on the day of the event to see what option we will be doing.

Family Pumpkin Carving event:

What we are asking families to do this year for the pumpkin carving contest is to email a picture of the student(s) with their pumpkin creation to twila.jensen@westwind.ab.ca. We will print and post the pictures in the school and still do our Movie Mill draws. Pictures must be submitted by noon Thursday October 28 to be entered into the draw.
