Concussion Awareness Week: Invitation to a Virtual Webinar for Parents

This week, September 22-26, is Concussion Awareness Week in Canada, and we have been sent some valuable information that we would like to share with you. Our school has received an invitation to a free virtual webinar that we believe could be very beneficial for our community.

The webinar, titled "The Invisible Injury: Managing Headaches, Sleep, & Mental Health Symptoms after a Concussion," is hosted by the TRANSCENDENT Concussion Research Program and Brain Injury Canada. It will feature insights from medical professionals, including Dr. Roger Zemek, Dr. Rébecca Robillard, and Dr. Noah Silverberg, who will discuss common challenges faced after a concussion. Additionally, Sydney Low, a concussion ambassador, will share her personal story of recovery.

This event is open to anyone interested in concussion awareness, including parents, teachers, coaches, and families. We believe this information may be especially valuable in helping you support your children who have experienced a concussion.

You are welcome to attend if you find the topic useful. Attending is completely optional.
