Orange Shirt Day assembly

Thursday, September 28th starting at 2:30 in the Karren Gym we will be having an Orange Shirt Day assembly. Orange Shirt day is an opportunity for us to commemorate the residential school experience, to witness and honour the healing journey of the survivors and their families, and to commit to the ongoing process of reconciliation. At this assembly, a First Nations Elder will do a Smudging ceremony, as well as offer a Blackfoot Prayer. On Friday, September 29th, our hope is that students and staff will wear an Orange shirt helping us remember that Every Child Matters, even if they are an adult.
